Kid's handkerchiefs

I got asked to make a set of handkerchiefs for a four year old. TP on one side to help him remember where the boogies go!

Boycott, Divestment, & Sanctions

Small handmade pillow (cotton & polyester fiber). May 2021.

“Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) is a Palestinian-led movement for freedom, justice and equality. BDS upholds the simple principle that Palestinians are entitled to the same rights as the rest of humanity.

Israel is occupying and colonising Palestinian land, discriminating against Palestinian citizens of Israel and denying Palestinian refugees the right to return to their homes. Inspired by the South African anti-apartheid movement, the BDS call urges action to pressure Israel to comply with international law.

BDS is now a vibrant global movement made up of unions, academic associations, churches and grassroots movements across the world. Since its launch in 2005, BDS is having a major impact and is effectively challenging international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.”

This small boycott/divestment/sanctions flag became a pillow. I hope it stands as a symbol of comfort for the Palestinian people, as so many around the world are in solidarity with you in the fight against tyranny and oppression. For activists, I hope that it works as a reminder to rest for the sake of persistence and sustainability. Please take care of yourselves and each other, and do not look away from what is hard to see.

Valentine's Day Coasters. February 2021.

This tutorial video was made in August 2021 in support of the mutual aid group Mending Bloc in Portland, OR.

In response to the historic heat waves in the Pacific Northwest, Mending Bloc has been working super hard to create large quantities of cooling scarves for our unhoused neighbors and mutual aid providers in the community.

Mending Bloc is an amazing group of folks who use their sewing/mending skills for good, and deserve a ton of love and support.
